The Harney Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting bids on a fence-building project located near the 2024 Telephone Fire. The SWCD proposes a total of 28.06 miles of fence building. There will be three contracts awarded. Each contract will be around 9 miles of fencing. There is a mandatory bid meeting beginning at 8:30 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the SWCD office. More information and bid packets can be obtained at the HSWCD office located at 530 Highway 20 S, Hines, OR.
